Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Consumer Loan Processor. Primary Function: Process and fund direct and indirect consumer loan applications to meet the established credit union service standards and promote loan growth. Make process and procedure recommendations to improve efficiencies within the department in order to create a better overall experience for internal and external members.
Responsibilities
- Review loan packages and documents for accuracy, prepares final loan package for funding.
- Input and verify funding data into the consumer loans origination system to ensure the loan is funded in accordance with lending policies and procedures, disburses loan proceeds and performs associated system maintenance.
- Issue documents required by Truth in Lending and RESPA.
- Operate multiple computer systems in order to accurately respond to dealer, staff and member inquiries regarding existing and pending consumer loan applications.
- Perform follow-up on outstanding documents for existing consumer loan applications in process via Direct and Indirect channels to ensure member satisfaction.
- Recommend process and product improvements to enhance member experience and eliminate waste.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Primary Functions: Analyzes business and technical requirements, identifies program/project needs, develops the testing strategy, plan, approach, scenarios, test cases, and performs or coordinates the functional testing and performance testing for the credit union technologies. This position works closely with peers, stakeholders and end users to ensure quality deliverables have technical compatibility and user satisfaction. The Quality Assurance Lead ensures software testing and QA best practices are built and followed.
Responsibilities
Assist in creating an overall IT quality strategic roadmap and approach to quality assurance that will ensure required performance and functionality of HVCU’s technology and applications.
Assist in the creation of end-to-end test strategies for testing of major platform and application deployments, upgrades, and maintenance. Follow best practices for quality assurance processes and perform them in a timely and efficient manner.
Create quality assurance and testing standards to be adhered to by all HVCU staff. Educate and guide business users on the importance of quality assurance/testing and their practices.

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Universal Branch Associate. Primary Function: provide highest level member service through efficient, accurate transaction processing and applying a consultative needs-based sales approach, focused on establishing new member relationships, and deepening and retaining existing relationships, to cross sell HVCU products and services.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process transactions. Educate members about the most convenient way to complete transaction processing in the branch and through other channels such as Internet Banking, the mobile app, audio response, the Contact Center, etc. Resolve member complaints and concerns quickly and efficiently and involve other functional areas as needed.
- Responsible for handling large volumes of cash and negotiable items. Assists management with daily operational tasks including operator, ATM, TellerInfinity and branch proof.
- Open new memberships, new accounts, new loans and process loan and account transactions. Refer members to branch business partners for consultation on Financial Services, Insurance Services, Real Estate and Business products as appropriate to meet member needs.
- Consistently follow all applicable policies and procedures. Utilize required programs and systems to assist with cross selling HVCU products and services.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of credit union products and services through ongoing training and education. Train new Universal Branch Associates as needed.
- Meet or exceed established individual and team goals through the consistent application of the HVCU Sales and Service model in all member interactions. Support the successful implementation of marketing programs and promotions by creating member awareness.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge.
