Senior Planner
SENIOR PLANNER
The Jefferson County Department of Planning is seeking a qualified person to fill a senior-level position. Responsibilities include: providing oversight for County-level planning, development, and housing programs, and conducting comprehensive land use planning and development activities in local communities. Civil Service exam required for permanent appointment.

Salary Range: $33.88 - $43.44 per hour. (2024 rate)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either:
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a master's degree and two years of experience in municipal, community, regional, environmental or transportation planning; OR
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of experience in (A) above; OR
(C) An equivalent combination of experience and training as outlined in (A), and (B) above.
